The 2018 Nuclear Science Symposium will offer an outstanding opportunity for scientists and engineers working in the field of radiation instrumentation to meet together, present new results and discuss the latest developments in their field, not only with their own colleagues, but also with colleagues from related fields such as medical imaging and room temperature semiconductors. The NSS is held contemporarily with the 2018 Medical Imaging Conference and the 25th International Symposium on Room Temperature X Ray and Gamma Ray detectors, which brings together one of the largest collection of detector scientists and experts in the world. This very international venue, which is being held for the first time in Sydney, Australia, promises to be one of best programs in the long history of this conference.
The NSS program emphasizes the latest developments in detector technology, radiation detection, detector materials, new instrumentation techniques, and their implementation in high energy and nuclear physics, astrophysics, accelerators, national nuclear security, and many other applications in various types of radiation environments. Joint sessions will be held with the MIC and RTSD, along with a number of special topic workshops covering areas of specific interest. Short Courses on a variety of topics of interest to the NSS community are also being offered.
Authors are invited to submit papers describing original unpublished work in the topic areas listed below:
We invite you to come to Sydney and participate in the excellent program we plan to have in store for you. Please feel free to contact us at nss2018@ieee.org if you have any questions or if we can help with any aspects of the program.
