The 2018 NSS/MIC Conference app using the Crowd Compass conference application system has been released to replace the traditional Program Booklet, the Abstract collection, the Exhibitor Guide, and to give you new ways of enjoying the Conference. For 2018 you can either choose to use the Event Class online program via your web browser (under the program drop down menu on the main 2018 NSS MIC web site) or via the Crowd Compass online version of the conference application (event.crowdcompass.com/2018nssmic).
If you use the conference app, you can take advantage of the app’s capabilities to take notes for specific papers/presentations, and interactive map that shows you locations from within the abstracts, make a personalized schedule, and contact other attendees and exhibitors. In addition, you can sync all of our personalized schedules and notes with your phone, tablet, and your computer. The application includes additional information about the conference and on how to use the app under the general information button on the home screen.
The app is available on the Android and iOS stores. Search for and download the app entitled “CrowdCompass AttendeeHub”. Once you launch the app, you will be presented with a screen to find you event. Type “2018 IEEE NSS MIC” into the search box. You will then see a banner for the conference. Tap the download icon to the right of the banner. The confirm you want it by tapping the download button on the next screen. After the app downloads the conference, you can agree to let the app send you notifications (e.g., start time of a paper in your personalized schedule). We suggest you agree so that we can push notifications of any last minute changes in the schedule.
Next you will be asked to login. The app then sets up an account for you with Crowd Compass that lets all of your devices sync your personal touches (notes, schedules, etc.).
If you have any questions or problems with the application, contact Tom Lewellen (tomlewellen@mac.com). At the conference, you can also go to the computer room for assistance – or If needed, contacting Tom.
